How to root Samsung Transfix


Today we will discuss how to root Samsung Transfix, which is a midrange Android smart phone with keyboard. The device measures 4.5’’X2.3’’X0.6’’ and weighs approximately 4.4 ounces. The smart phone has a slider with a four-row physical qwerty keyboard, which comes handy for heavy text users.

The smart phone has an 800MHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbead). The device allows access to Google Play store and is compatible with almost all of the 250,000+ apps in the Android Market. The smart phone has a 3.2 MP camera which can also record VGA video. Its 3.2-inch display features 320/480 pixel resolution.

Before we start rooting, DISCLAIMER: Rooting may void the device’s warranty and the below mentioned method may be a bit risky and we are not responsible if the device is damaged or you lose data, therefore it is advisable to please proceed at your own risk.

Make sure that the battery is fully charged, because if the battery drains totally during the rooting process, bricking may happen. Also make sure to create a backup of the device data such as SMS, internet settings, contacts and other media files in order to get data back in case of problems.


Step 1: Download Samsung Kies and install it. Samsung Kies is a software application that is used to communicate between Samsung devices. The software can be downloaded from the Samsung Global Download Center or the individual phone support pages.

Step 2: Enable "USB Debugging". Path for USB debugging is Menu>Settings>Applications>Development.

Step 3: Also enable "Unknown Sources" from the following path: Menu>Settings>Applications

Step 4: (for windows users) download the following file from the here.  

(for linux users) download the following file from here.

Step 5: Select the zip folder and extract the contents on to the PC. 

Step 6: Now connect the mobile to the PC using USB data cable

Step 6: Open the folder containing the extracted files and select the file run.bat (for windows users) or run.sh (for linux users).

Step 7: Now simply follow the on screen instructions

Once the above process is complete the device will reboot itself. After reboot you will have a rooted Samsung Transfix.

  1. Okay so i tried this and i was successful, until you got to the run.bat part. That doesnt come up for me, so im stuck.

  2. I did everything and followed all the instructions(step-by-step) but my phone isn't booted.. what do i do?
