How to root HTC Sensation


Today we will discuss how to root the HTC Sensation, which is a smart phone manufactured by HTC and runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.  The device was officially launched by HTC in April 2011 on Vodafone in Europe including the United Kingdom and on T-Mobile in the US. At time of the release it was the first HTC phone to support HTC Sense 3 user interface. The device was code named Pyramid at time of development.

Before we start rooting, make sure that you have switched off the security option of the device. To make the device security off please follow the below instructions. Switching security off allows the user to overwrite system files, which is needed to root the device.

Step 1: Firstly download and install the HTC USB Drivers. You can download it from here.

Step 2: Now download the Zerg_Root_OneClick.zip from here. After downloading the file extract the contents to a new folder.

Step 3: Connect the tablet to the PC and make sure USB debugging is enabled. Use the following path: Menu>Settings>Applications>Development.

Step 4: Also enable "Unknown Sources" from this path: Menu>Settings>Applications

Step 5: change the connection type of the device to HTC Sync. Use the following path Menu > Settings > Connect to PC > Default Connection Type > HTC Sync.

Step 6: Now open the folder where files were extracted and double click on the ZergRushTempRoot.bat file to run the program. Please confirm to all the warnings which you may see on the screen of the device while installing the software.

Step 7: Simply follow the on screen instructions to root the device.

That’s it after the process is complete, you will have a rooted HTC Sensation.
