How to root Samsung Replenish


Samsung Replenish is a low budget smart phone form Samsung, which is primarily targeted at budget conscious users, such as students. The device was initially released with Android 2.2 Froyo and was subsequently upgraded with 2.3 Gingerbread. But as we know there is a big crowd of Samsung Replenish owners, who are not satisfied with their Gingerbread. In order to upgrade the device to ice cream sandwich, the user must root his device. Today we will discuss how to root Samsung Replenish, the first step to update the device.  

The smart phone has a small screen, which makes reading difficult, but the qwerty keyboard besides the screen is well placed and easy to use. The device comes handy with a 2MP camera and supports dual-band EVDO Rev (800/1900 MHz) with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi.

The device features a number of green initiatives. It is made from 82% recyclable materials, with nearly most of the outer casing made from highly recycled plastics. The device is also approved by Sustainable Forestry Initiative as it uses at least 30% of its content from sustainable forests.

Before we start rooting, DISCLAIMER: Rooting may void the device’s warranty and the below mentioned method may be a bit risky and we are not responsible if the device is damaged or you lose data, therefore it is advisable to please proceed at your own risk.
 
Make sure that the battery is fully charged, because if the battery drains totally during the rooting process, bricking may happen. Also make sure to create a backup of the device data such as SMS, internet settings, contacts and other media files in order to get data back in case of problems.

Step 1: Enable "USB Debugging". Path for USB debugging is Menu>Settings>Applications>Development.

Step 2: Also enable "Unknown Sources" from the following path: Menu>Settings>Applications

Step 3: Now download the zip file by pasting the red code on the address bar of the browser.( goo.gl/S5wq7)

 Step 4: After downloading, extract all the files from the zip folder to the desktop

Step 5: Connect your device to the PC via USB data cable.

Step 6: (for windows users) Now double click the root.bat file to run it. This step is for windows.

Step 6: (for Mac or other users) please double click the root.sh file to run the file.

Step 7: simply follow the onscreen instructions.

 Step 7: The app will root your device and it will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to complete that.

Step 8: Once rooting is finished, the smart phone will reboot automatically.

X`Once the device reboots you will have a rooted Samsung Replenish smart phone.
