How to Root Samsung Galaxy S3


Today we will discuss how to root Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung has only recently launched its flagship new smart phone, the Samsung Galaxy S3. The mobile has been launched across the globe, including Australia and India. Its specifications include

Before we start rooting, DISCLAIMER: Rooting may void the device’s warranty and the below mentioned method may be a bit risky and we are not responsible if the device is damaged or you lose data, therefore it is advisable to please proceed at your own risk.

Make sure that the battery is fully charged, because if the battery drains totally during the rooting process, bricking may happen. Also make sure to create a backup of the device data such as SMS, internet settings, contacts and other media files in order to get data back in case of problems.

Step 1: Download the complete Rooting Package and Odin tool.

Step 2:  Now save the two files on the desktop at a place of your choice.

Step 3: Extract the files from the two files and place them on the desktop.

Step 4: Now double click the Odin3 v1.85.exe file to launch it.

Step 5: Now switch off the Galaxy S3 smart phone and boot it into the download mode. This can be achieved by simultaneously pressing and holding the Volume Down, the home and the power keys.

Step 6: After the device comes into download mode, connect it to the PC via USB data cable.

Step 7: Now in the Odin tool, click the PDA button and select the CF-Insecure-SGS3_XX_NEE_ALE8-v1.2.tar file. This file was earlier extracted to the desktop in step 3.

Step 8: After selecting the file click the start button to start the process of rooting.

Step 9: The phone will automatically reboot itself once rooting is over. Please do not interfere with the process and wait for the device to reboot itself. After rooting is over, disconnect the device from the PC.

That’s it you now have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3.
