Italian luxury car manufacturer has launched two models of luxury
smartphones and a luxury tablet to give a slice of its skills. This was waiting
to happen, after the launch of Stuart Hughes’ version of iPad 2 encrusted with
diamonds, gold and dinosaur bones and the Porsche version of BlackBerry P’9981.
Why should Android leave behind, Lamborghini.
The news was first reported by Russian site Mail.ru.
According to the site, the Android smartphone, TL700, sports a 3.7-inch,
800x480-pixel display with sapphire glass with an additional anti-reflective
coating and has a metal case. It runs Android 2.3 and has “elements of
crocodile skin”. Other specifications of the smartphone include - a full set of
wireless modules (except for the NFC), 2 cameras - 0.3 and 5 megapixel, 4GB of
internal memory and the battery 1400 mAh. The device is worth 90 000 rubles (2,741.02
USD)
The Android tablet named - Lamborghini L2800 tablet comes
with a Qualcomm processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB RAM and 4GB of
internal memory (a memory card slot is present), 2 cameras - 2 and 5 MP and
7500 mAh battery. It will sport a 9.7-inch LED-backlit display with a
resolution of 1024x768 pixels, which is “protected from scratches and other
damage to sapphire crystal.” ICS enthusiasts will love this bit - the tablet is currently running Android
2.3, but an upgrade to 4.0 goodness is to follow. The Lamborghini L2800 tablet
will cost you 75 000 rubles (2,283.94 USD approx.).
The models are expected to be launched in the coming months.
