Microsoft’s Xbox SmartGlass app is finally coming to Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms.  The app allows the users to interact with the content on the TV and also control it. The Xbox SmartGlass companion app, recently launched by Microsoft can turn a phone or tablet into a secondary screen for TV or to a game controller. The Xbox SmartGlass is basically meant to interact with the content on the TV and also control it.

The Xbox SmartGlass app can be installed on the Android, iOS or Windows Phone devices for use with the Xbox 360 console. The companion app can be used for content exchange either way, i.e. pushing content to the app or pull content from the app. Any smart phone or tablet loaded with Xbox SmartGlass App can be used as a game controller for select Xbox platform games. This can be also used to play your favourite music, video or movie on the device using the app. It camn also be used to push the content to a TV connected with the Xbox 360 over wireless connection. Actually, the app allows the users to explore the internet on a large TV screen.

There are other smart uses of the app. For example, the app can be used to customize the content. For example while a football match is being shown on the big TVG screen, the statistics of the players and teams can be accessed on the mobile or tablet. The functionality and features may differ based on the platform of the tablet or Smart phone.
